Department of Civil Engineering is actively engaged in disseminating civil engineering education for the last thirty seven years. The Department has produced several eminent engineers who have made significant contributions in the planning and execution of Civil Engineering projects in Pakistan as well as abroad. The Department of Civil Engineering has approved staff strength of 52, nearly 50% of whom contribute to postgraduate teaching and are involved in PhD research work. Approximately 641 undergraduate and 238 postgraduate (MSc Engg.) students are registered in the department. Civil engineers cater to the national needs for buildings, highways, dams, bridges, irrigation network and water supply systems, and are the world’s largest users of building materials
